The actor asks in a friendly Twitter exchange with the film's director, Christopher McQuarrie, if he should start getting ready to reprise his role as William Brandt.

AceShowbiz - It looks like director Christopher McQuarrie will bring back William Brandt for "Mission: Impossible 6". Jeremy Renner himself hinted at the character's possible return when he participated in a Twitter Q&A which was hosted by the filmmaker on Monday night, March 21.
"Hey, is the band getting back together? Should I start stretching? @chrismcquarrie," the actor wrote as he started a friendly exchange with McQuarrie, who then responded to his question, "Wear comfortable pants. You're gonna need 'em."

No official confirmation regarding Renner's casting has been made. However, it won't be a huge surprise if he's really back to reprise his role as Brandt, considering how last year's "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" ended and that the actor already signs on for at least one more impossible mission.
McQuarrie is currently in the middle of writing the script for the sixth "Mission Impossible" movie, which is expected to begin production later this year or early next year. If you can't wait too long to see Renner in action, he'll be back as Hawkeye in "Captain America: Civil War" that's set to hit U.S. theaters on May 6.
