The new animation from Warner Bros. Entertainment also presents veteran voice actor Kevin Conroy as the Caped Crusader.

AceShowbiz - "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actor Mark Hamill is back voicing The Joker in new animation "Batman: The Killing Joke". Voicing Batman is Kevin Conroy who has given a life to the animated Caped Crusader on many TV series and shorts including Cartoon Network's "Justice League".

"The chance to work once again with Kevin Conroy, my favorite Batman, in what some consider the definitive origin of this iconic villain is a dream come true for me," Hamill said in a statement to Comic Book Resources. "I am beyond thrilled to return as The Joker in 'The Killing Joke!' "

Conroy added, "I've had the great privilege of voicing Batman for more than two decades, and some of my favorite moments in the recording booth have been alongside Mark Hamill. Mark always enables me to be a better actor. I'm thrilled that we're both back to bring these characters to life in one of the most heralded Batman/Joker stories of all time."

Hamill has debuted a still from the animated pic via Twitter, showing Batman in a face-to-face confrontation with the villain.

Alan Moore is writing the story while Brian Bolland is handling the illustration. Tara Strong will voice Barbara Gordon/Batgirl and Ray Wise will voice Commissioner Gordon. No release date has been set yet but Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will hold a world premiere of it at this summer's San Diego Comic-Con and debut it in stores shortly.
