The 'American Idol' alum will return to the singing show on Thursday, March 17 to perform the track live for the first time.

AceShowbiz - Adam Lambert's new music is coming sooner than anyone's expected. The "American Idol" alum has just dropped a preview for a brand new song, a collaboration with Laleh titled "Welcome to the Show", which he'll premiere in full later this week.

"I'm gonna let them stare/ They feel like me out there/ So welcome to the show," Lambert begins singing over the dramatic beat in the 28-second clip. "Bring on all the lights, let it shine on you/ We're together here tonight/ Welcome to the show, welcome to my life."

"Welcome to the Show" was written and produced by Laleh, Swedish singer/songwriter who was also behind Demi Lovato's "Stone Cold", and Ali Payami, whom Lambert previously teamed up with for "Ghost Town" from his latest album, "The Original High".

"I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring," Lambert said of his new track in a statement. "I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are."

The song will arrive in its entirety on Thursday, March 17, the same day the 34-year-old star is scheduled to return to "American Idol" and perform it live for the first time.
