AceShowbiz - The camera will roll for "Star Trek Beyond" again. The movie is heading into reshoots next week and adds a new character in the process. Per Deadline, Shohreh Aghdashloo is added to the cast to play the High Command of the Federation.
Aghdashloo earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in "House of Sand and Fog" (2003). She became the first Iranian woman to win an Emmy in 2009 for her role on HBO's miniseries "House of Saddam" (2008).
The movie is still on track for its July 22 release this year despite the reshoots. Justin Lin is directing, with J.J. Abrams, David Ellison, Bryan Burk and Roberto Orci producing. Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho and Anton Yelchin are returning to reprise their respective roles, while Idris Elba is cast as the villainous Krall.
