Here's Oprah Winfrey's Reaction to Whoopi Goldberg Being Mistaken for Her
Celebrity

'We all love @whoopigoldberg but we don't all look alike Jeeeze!' Oprah, via friend Gayle King's Instagram account, responds to the mix-up made by a beauty website called Total Beauty.

AceShowbiz - Where was Oprah Winfrey if she wasn't at the 2016 Academy Awards? Well, she apparently just watched the awards show from home and laughed off an embarrassing mistake made by a beauty website that mixed her up with Whoopi Goldberg.

On Sunday night, February 28, the site called Total Beauty posted on Twitter a photo of Goldberg walking on the red carpet wearing a black dress revealing her tattooed shoulder. They referred to the co-host of "The View" as Winfrey in the caption for the snap, writing, "We had no idea @Oprah was #tatted, and we love it."

The photo was deleted after many pointed out the blunder, but Oprah somehow caught wind of the tweet. Her friend Gayle King later posted on her Instagram a picture of Oprah sitting on a couch and wrote alongside it, "@Oprah & favorite daughter watching #Oscars & seeing @totalbeautyeditors snafu! We all love @whoopigoldberg but we don't all look alike Jeeeze!"

Following the error, many fans took to Twitter to make fun of the mistake and blast Total Beauty. "How do you get oprah and whoopi goldberg mixed up. what sad intern is getting fired tonight," one Twitter user wrote. "HOW IS SOMEONE GETTING PAID TO COMMENT ON A RED CARPET AND THEY DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OPRAH AND WHOOPI !!!!!!!!!" another said.

Responding to the comments, Total Beauty has issued an apology on Twitter. "We'd like to apologize to Oprah and Whoopi, as well as everyone we've offended. It was our error, and there are no excuses. We're sorry," they wrote.
