Although she will no longer be in front of the camera, Banks will continue supporting the reality modeling competition as executive producer.

AceShowbiz - "America's Next Top Model" is not ready to die yet. Four months after Tyra Banks announced the end of the reality modeling competition, VH1 announced that the series was being revived for "a new generation" without the supermodel as the host.

"After creating an incredible, global brand, I am beyond excited to have the show reborn," Banks said in a statement. "I will continue as executive producer, but must turn my attention to new business endeavors, so I want to find a new host. I'm pumped to identify that person and bring back the show. Top Model fans, you demanded that the show come back, and VH1 answered the call. Get ready for a fierce-a-fied rebirth!"

Banks will work on her post alongside the original series' exec producer Ken Mok. The show will return to New York City for a 14-episode season but no premiere date is set yet.

"ANTM" debuted in May 2003 on UPN and moved to The CW three years later. It became the most successful reality series on the network and the longest-running series on the CW, ranking number 8 in adults 18-34. Despite the success, Banks said they were ending the show after 12 years and 22 seasons. Apparently, the interest continued to live on.

"We're thrilled to bring America's Next Top Model back to VH1 and partner with CBS Television Distribution and Tyra Banks to reinvent this franchise for a whole new generation," Chris McCarthy, General Manager of VH1, said in a statement announcing the news. "This is a homecoming for the series, as VH1 helped catapult the show to cultural icon status as the first cable network to air the show after it launched."
