The 'Mad Max: Fury Road' director sets the record straight on the rumors claiming that he won't do any more 'Mad Max' film.

AceShowbiz - George Miller clarifies the rumors suggesting that he's done with "Mad Max" and wouldn't return for more movies. The rumors emerged after his interview with Page Six was published, but the 70-year-old director now claims that he was misquoted by the tabloid.

"That was a completely garbled interview," the Australian filmmaker explains in a new chat with The Wrap. "I was in New York and it was so noisy and the journalist was asking me questions on a red carpet at the National Board of Review."

He says of the reporter who interviewed him, "She completely got the wrong fragments of information that were just not true. I said no, [another 'Mad Max' movie] will not be next, and she took that to mean I never wanted to make another 'Mad Max.' It won't necessarily be next, but I have two more stories."

His statement comes shortly after he's nominated for an Academy Award. He is vying for Best Director at the 88th annual Oscars and his movie "Mad Max: Fury Road" is up for Best Picture. The flick receives eight more nominations this year.
