AceShowbiz - "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is recruiting another Marvel hero. Words are Yo-Yo Rodriguez a.k.a. Slingshot will be the latest addition to the team as Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) has been assigned by Coulson (Clark Gregg) to assemble a new team of super humans known in the comic books as Secret Warriors.

According to Point of Geeks, Natalia Cordova-Buckley ("McFarland, USA") has been cast in the recurring role of Slingshot. She reportedly will be filming her scenes in January so her character may appear on the show as soon as early spring.

In the comics, Slingshot is the daughter of known super-criminal John Horton better known as the Griffin. Through her father's mutated DNA she somehow gained super-speed. She, however, has to return to the fixed spot that she activated her powers.

The third season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has introduced some new Inhumans, including Lash (Matt Willig), who is actually Andrew Garner's Inhuman form (Blair Underwood), and Joey (Juan Pablo Raba). The show airs Tuesdays at 9 P.M. on ABC.
