Woody Harrelson in Talks to Join Brie Larson in 'Glass Castle'

AceShowbiz - Woody Harrelson is close to booking his next starring vehicle. The "True Detective" star is in negotiations to join Lionsgate's "The Glass Castle" which already has Brie Larson attached.

The film is based on Jeannette Walls memoir of the same title. The New York Times Best Seller recounts the unconventional upbringing Walls and her siblings had at the hands of their deeply dysfunctional parents. Walls' eccentric mother and alcoholic father would stir the the children's imagination with hope as a distraction to their poverty.

It is yet clear what role Harrelson will play but Variety reported that he was to fill in the role originally intended for Matthew McConaughey. Jennifer Lawrence was once also attached to the film but she quit the project and got replaced by Larson.

Destin Cretton is on board to direct and co-writing the latest draft with Andrew Lanham. Gil Netter and Erik Feig are producing.
