The youngest Backstreet Boy revealed that he contacted Melanie Brown about it and said there were indeed talks about it.

AceShowbiz - One of the Backstreet Boys has responded to the rumors that the '90s band is planning to go on tour with the Spice Girls. Nick Carter was asked about it while rehearsing for his gig on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" and he definitely expressed an interest for it.

Reports of the two mega groups reuniting for the road started when A.J. McLean told Daily Star, "The Spice Girls tour has been this idea bouncing around for the past year and a half, and it's something we're still talking about." The statement followed Geri Halliwell's confirmation that Spice Girls reunion was definitely discussed.

Carter was the latest to share a word about it. "I actually did a little Twitter shout-out to Mel B because we're friends and I said, 'Hey this could be a cool idea. What if we did a Backstreet Boys-Spice Girls tour?' " he told E! Online.

He added, "And there were talks in the past about it and we had done the New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys tour in the past. I think this would be that last hurrah - the two big groups from the late '90s. Maybe do a world tour, stadiums, stuff like that and do a package together." But before fans get too excited, Carter said, "It's just an idea."

Other band members who have voiced their interest are Melanie Brown and Brian Littrell.
