The band didn't give details about the security breach, but the Irish Mirror reported that the cancellation was prompted by a man armed with gun who threatened an audience member.

AceShowbiz - U2 ended up canceling their Sunday, September 20 concert in Sweden. According to a statement posted on the Irish group's website, fans who already started to pack the concert venue at The Globen in Stockholm were evacuated from the building "due to a security breach."

The band didn't explain details of the security breach. However, the Irish Mirror (citing Swedish media outlet Expressen) has reported that a man allegedly armed with gun was at the venue and threatened another person in the audience.

"As the breach has not been resolved quickly and as audience safety is paramount, the police have advised The Globen and Live Nation that they have no option but to postpone tonight's show," Bono and Co. wrote and announced that the Sunday concert had been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 22.

"All tickets from Sunday 20th September are valid for Tuesday 22nd September," they added. "The organizers apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank the audience for their understanding. Their safety is the priority."
