AceShowbiz - Zoe Saldana has landed a role in an adaptation of Joe Kelly's critically-acclaimed graphic novel "I Kill Giants". The Gamora of "Guardians of the Galaxy" will play a psychologist, starring alongside "True Detective" actress Madison Wolfe who takes on the lead role of Barbara.

The story revolves around Barbara, a young misfit girl who is battling both real and imaginary monsters in her life. She forms an inspiring bond with the school psychologist, Mrs. Molle, who plays a key role by helping the troubled student face both internal and external threats.

Joe Kelly wrote the screenplay while Chris Columbus ("Pixels") is on board as a producer. Meanwhile, Anders Walter best known for penning and directing 2014 Oscar-winning live action short "Helium" serves behind the lens.

"I'm thrilled to have the massively talented Zoe helping us bring Joe Kelly's beautiful story to life," said Walter. "I couldn't be more excited to see Mrs. Molle, a kind, strong and incredibly inspirational character up on the big screen." Columbus chimed in, "Madison is an extraordinary young actress and we are thrilled to have her join the cast."
