Movie

While Eleanor (Wilde) and Emma (Tomei) want to make their parent happy on the special day, they have to deal with a series of unexpected events which turn the night upside down.

AceShowbiz - Although it is still months away from Christmas, fans can feel the holiday atmosphere through the first trailer for "Love the Coopers". The family movie has star-studded cast which include Olivia Wilde, Ed Helms, Anthony Mackie, Amanda Seyfried and more.

The trailer opens with voiceover, "The holiday season, that magical time when everyone comes together to give thanks that it only happens once a year." Charlotte Cooper (Diane Keaton) is a mother who has a simple wish for the Christmas Day, seeing all of the family members get along together.

All of Cooper's children want to make their parents happy on the special day. Eleanor (Wilde) tries to bring home a perfect guy while Emma (Marisa Tomei) wants to give her mother a perfect gift. It turns out that they do the efforts in wrong ways and they just eventually mess it up. "No matter what happens, we are family," Sam (John Goodman) says.

Although the comedy is in the same vein of common Christmas comedies, the talent makes the movie worth to watch. According to the official synopsis, "The Cooper clan as four generations of extended family come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration. As the evening unfolds, a series of unexpected visitors and unlikely events turn to night upside down, leading them all toward a surprising rediscovery of family bonds and the spirit of the holiday."

Jessie Nelson serves behind the lens and also produces alongside Michael London and Janice Williams. Written by Steven Rogers, the family comedy is slated for a release in U.S. theaters on November 13.
