Movie

Bullock portrays political strategist Jane Bodine in the fact-base drama while Hiddleston plays influential musician Hank Williams in the biography movie.

AceShowbiz - The first look at Sandra Bullock as a politician in drama "Our Brand Is Crisis" is finally revealed. Bullock's character seems to be an important person as she is seen surrounded by journalists while trying to cover herself in an overcoat and sunglasses.

Bullock stars as political strategist "Calamity" Jane Bodine. It may be surprising to know that the role was originally written for her "Gravity" co-star George Clooney. "About two and a half years ago I put out feelers saying, 'I'm not reading anything I'm excited about,' " Bullock says. "Are there any male roles out there that [the filmmakers] don't mind switching to female?"

Clooney produced the movie alongside Grant Heslov and decided to flip the gender of the lead role after Bullock suggested him. The film is based on Rachel Boynton's political documentary of the same name. Directed by David Gordon Green, the movie about American political strategies in the 2002 Bolivian presidential election is slated for a U.S. release on October 30.

A first-look picture of biography movie "I Saw the Light" starring Tom Hiddleston is also released. Hiddleston plays Hank Williams, an American singer-songwriter who had big influences to the music industry in the 20th century.

The film focuses on the story of the musician who reached fame and also suffered from a terrifying disease which led him to be an alcoholic and morphine addict. Hiddleston leads the cast which also includes Elizabeth Olsen, David Krumholtz, Cherry Jones and Bradley Whitford. Directed by Marc Abraham, "I Saw the Light" will open in U.S. theaters on November 27.
