The veteran actor, who played Lois Lane's father on 'Smallville', will guest star in season 2's episode of 'The Flash' as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold's estranged and abusive father.

AceShowbiz - Michael Ironside is moving from Smallville to Central City. The Canadian actor, who played Lois Lane's father on The CW's Superman-themed series, has been cast as Lewis Snart, the estranged, abusive father of villains Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Lisa Snart/Golden Glider (Peyton List), on "The Flash".
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lewis is described as "a cold-blooded, ruthless career criminal. Recently released from prison, he returns to Central City with a plan that will endanger both of his children."
Ironside will guest star in episode 3 of season 2 entitled "Family of Rogues". Miller and List will return to reprise their respective roles in the episode as well.
"The Flash" season 2 is set to premiere Tuesday, October 6 on The CW. The show recently also tapped Teddy Sears to play Jay Garrick and Shantel VanSanten to star as Patty Spivot, a new love interest for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).
