The 'Paper Towns' actor pleads the fifth when asked about rumor that he is eyed to replace Andrew Garfield as a new Spidey.

AceShowbiz - Nat Wolff addresses report that he is among the candidates for the new Spider-Man. The actor responds to the rumor while sitting down for an interview with Cara Delevingne during a press tour for their upcoming movie "Paper Towns".

"I honestly don't know anything about Spider-Man. I mean, who wouldn't want to play Spider-Man?" he played it coy when asked during a chat with MTV News. "I plead the fifth!" he added, which seemed to hint that he might know more than he's letting on.

"My little cousin was the one who told me [about the rumors]," Wolff said. "Six hours ago, he texted me, 'Hey man, are you going to be Spider-Man?' " While no confirmation has been made, the actor gets support from fellow star Vincent D'Onofrio.

Natt Wolff is lined up as a candidate for the untitled new Spider-Man movie along with such young actors as Asa Butterfield, Tom Holland, Timothee Chalamet, and Liam James. Spidey is expected to pop up in "Captain America: Civil War" first before getting his own solo movie.

Besides rebooting the webslinger with Marvel, Sony is developing an untitled animated Spider-Man movie. While Kevin Feige will produce the live-action project, Phil Lord and Chris Miller will get involved in the animation along with Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, the producers of "The Amazing Spider-Man" series which was canceled after only two movies.
