Jamie Dornan Recruited as Czechoslovakian Soldier for 'Anthropoid'

Dornan is booked to portray the role of a Czechoslovakian soldier who takes part in the 'Anthropoid' mission to assassin the notorious SS officer Reinhard Heydrich.

AceShowbiz - Following the massive commercial success of his latest film "Fifty Shades of Grey", Jamie Dornan has landed a new role in upcoming flick "Anthropoid". It is a feature "named after the real-life Operation Anthropoid in which two Czechoslovak paratroopers attacked Heydrich's car in Nazi-occupied Prague in 1942 after they had parachuted in following training by British forces," The Guardian reports.

32-year-old Dornan is set to portray the role of a Czechoslovakian soldier who takes part in the particular mission. Joining him in the cast ensemble is fellow actor Cillian Murphy, whose part has not yet been disclosed.

"Anthropoid" is set to be directed by British filmmaker Sean Ellis. He, additionally, is on board co-scripting the film alongside Anthony Frewin. "I feel incredibly proud to bring the story of Anthropoid to the big screen ... In the Czech Republic, it is a story of great national pride, and it's time to tell the world that story," Ellis was quoted as gushing about the upcoming project. Shooting on the film, meanwhile, is slated to be kicked off in July.
