The upcoming horror feature would star Short as Councilman Harvey Jordan 'whose plan to build a football stadium in a low income neighborhood causes friction'.

AceShowbiz - Nearly a year after exiting "Scandal", Columbus Short is heading back to TV with a major role on TV One's horror anthology "Fear Files". The 32-year-old actor is on board playing the role of City Councilman Harvey Jordan, E! News has exclusively reported.

His character as described by the outlet has a plan to build football stadium in a low income neighborhood, but it "causes friction to erupt within the community. And after a deadly fire removes the last resident standing in the way of his project, people begin to question if the death was an accident or a murder planned by the Councilman. While the truth begins to haunt Jordan, he must charm Kelisia Waters (Erica Hubbard), a determined reporter in order to sway the media attention away from him." Also joining the feature's cast ensemble would be the likes of Robin Givens and Lynn Whitfield.

"Fear Files" is slated to premiere on TV One on March 13 later this year. The horror marked Columbus' first acting gig ever after he decided to depart "Scandal" back in April last year.
