The first single off the new album, marking the singer's first to be released under Warner Bros. Records, will be released in April.

AceShowbiz - Earlier this month, Adam Lambert confirmed that he was readying a new album with hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback. He has now shared more details on the new project that's marking his first to be released after signing with Warner Bros. Records.

Lambert took to Twitter on Thursday, January 29 to reveal that the album would be called "The Original High" and its first single would arrive in April. Martin and Shellback, the duo behind the "American Idol" alum's hit "Whataya Want From Me", are serving as co-executive producers.

He didn't say anything about when exactly the full-length would be out, but he previously said it was scheduled for early summer.

Before joining Warner Bros. Records, Lambert was signed to RCA Records. Under the label, he released two albums including his 2009 debut set "For Your Entertainment" and its follow-up, 2012's "Trespassing".

"I think people are going to be really surprised. The album feels like a new era for me - emotionally, lyrically, sonically. It feels fresh, it feels new. It's still me. It's still stuff that fans know and love but it's a new chapter 100 percent," he revealed what to expect from "Original High" in an interview with Billboard.
