The oldest Jonas of the Jonas Brothers says he and his brothers, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, are now very close because they're no longer working together as a band.

AceShowbiz - Fans were left shocked when Jonas Brothers canceled their tour before announcing their disbandment more than a year ago. At that time, their representative confirmed that the trio made the decision due to "deep rift within the band."

Now, Kevin Jonas has shared more details behind the break-up. In a new interview with the Huffington Post, he let fans know what exactly happened between him and his equally famous brothers Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas before they finally put an end to Jonas Brothers and how their relationships with each other are now as they're no longer working together as a band.

"Being able to play shows and travel together was great," he said of the good times he had with his two brothers. "But then once at the end there, the friction was too much and we just really needed to break away and kind of do our own things for some time."

Kevin said that there was "constant butting of heads" that made it hard for them to make music together. After Jonas Brothers disbanded, the father of one said he ended up having better relationships with Joe and Nick. "I think that's why we're close now, because we're not in the band. We chose to be a family, not a band," he explained.
