Randy Quaid May Return to 'Independence Day 2'
Movie

Director Roland Emmerich seemingly drops a hint about Quaid's return to the follow-up of the movie on Twitter, sharing a photo of the actor and writing, 'Hello, boys! I'm BAAAAAACK!'

AceShowbiz - Randy Quaid may return to "Independence Day" sequel. The actor played Russell Casse in the Will Smith-starring movie and his character seemingly met his demise after crashing his plane into the aliens' ship.

On Monday, December 29, director Roland Emmerich seemingly dropped a hint at Quaid's return to the second installment, "ID Forever Part 1". Emmerich took to Twitter to share a photo of Quaid and captioned it, "Ha-ha-ha! Hello, boys! I'm BAAAAAACK! #IndependenceDay."

Quaid's appearance, however, is unlikely to happen. Earlier this month, TMZ reported that the actor and his wife Evi were stuck in Canada and could not go back home to the U.S. due to some legal problem. They allegedly used fake credit cards in 2009 to pay $10K in hotel bills and the hotel pressed charges. In 2010, they went to Canada when the felony warrants were still active, prompting the authorities to revoke their passport. Request for asylum was also denied.

"Independence Day 2" was originally set to be released in 2015, but it is now eyeing a June 24, 2016 release date. So far, there is no info regarding the cast or plot details.
