AceShowbiz - Porsha Williams was pulled over by police on Monday, December 29 for speeding in Atlanta, TMZ reports. The cops told the site that the reality star drove 78 mph in a 55 mph zone on a suspended license. She was released after posting a $1,726 bond.

Later on the day, the star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" issued a statement to Dish Nation to dispel any rumors regarding the arrest. "I was headed to visit my grandfather who is very ill with cancer in the hospital, and I was pulled over," she explained, "I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk."

She continued, "I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused. Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone. I was released, I have my license, my car, and my freedom."

Porsha has been updating her Twitter and Instagram since being released. Most recently, she shared a photo of her dinner along with caption, "#JustWhatTheDrOrdered #ChickenKabob #Yummers #PersianCuisine @ Divan Hookah Lounge."
