Rumors of Horan quitting the boyband began to spread after Sugarscape's Twitter account was hacked and posted the fake report.

AceShowbiz - One Direction fans can now rest assured as the boyband isn't losing one of its members. Contrary to the rumors swirling on Internet that Niall Horan is quitting the band, a Columbia Records rep for 1D tells Billboard that there is "no truth to this rumor."
The shocking news began to spread online after Yahoo Celebrity UK and Sugarscape posted tweets on Sunday night, December 28, saying that Horan had left the group. The two sites later cleared things up by informing that their Twitter accounts had been hacked and the Horan exit report was not true.
"Morning everyone. Just so you know, Niall Horan isn't in fact leaving 1D, our account was hacked last night. We repeat, Niall isn't leaving," Yahoo Celebrity UK posted on their Twitter. Sugarscape also tweeted, "Just to confirm, Niall is NOT leaving One Direction. We were hacked, innit. #reasonsniallleftonedirection."
Horan and his bandmates including Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are scheduled to headline this year's New Year's Rockin' Eve in Hollywood. They will reportedly sing "Story of My Life", "What Makes You Beautiful", "Steal my Girl" and "Night Changes".
Other performers at the annual event are Styles' ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift who will perform a medley of her hits in New York City's Times Square, Florida Georgia Line, Idina Menzel and MAGIC!. One Direction, meanwhile, will be joined by Stacy Ferguson a.k.a. Fergie, Meghan Trainor, Iggy Azalea and many others on the West Coast.
