AceShowbiz - Meet the new faces of "Glee" season 6. After new major characters in the new and final installment of the FOX series were revealed in August, TVLine has learnt which actors land the said roles.
According to the site, Noah Guthrie will play Roderick, "a true goober" with a voice like Otis Redding whose chubby and shy personality don't match with his talent. The 20-year-old singer/songwriter from South Carolina performed Ariana Grande's "Problem" on "Dancing with the Stars" season 17 and has covered a bunch of hit songs on YouTube videos.
Marshall Williams, a Canadian actor who starred in Disney Channel's original movie "How to Build a Better Boy", is cast as Spencer, a gay "football stud" with an incredible voice. The casting notice explained that "no one messes with him about his sexuality because he will kick their asses if they do."
Samantha Ware will star as Jane who is described as being "righteous, ambitious and unconventionally pretty." She's funny because she doesn't have much of a sense of humor, and wanted to join the Warblers but couldn't because of her gender. This role marks the first TV gig for Ware, who had a role on Broadway's "The Lion King". Ware and Guthrie were briefly featured in a promo for the new season released earlier this month.
Billy Lewis Jr. and Laura Dreyfuss, meanwhile, will play twins Mason and Madison, Cheerios members who are super-positive and extremely weird. Despite giving off a "gay vibe," Mason is actually straight. Both actors have musical theater roots.
The 13-episode final season of "Glee" will see Rachel and Kurt back to McKinley High to take over the glee club. It will launch with a two-hour premiere on Friday, January 9 at 8 P.M. on FOX.
