AceShowbiz - Reese Witherspoon became the real-life "Wreath Witherspoon" in a hilarious photo posted on Instagram on Thursday, December 25. The photo was inspired by Mindy Kaling's homemade "Wreath Witherspoon" creation which she previously debuted on "The Mindy Project".
In the photo, Reese held a wreath decorated with pine cones and a red-and-green checkered ribbon in front of her face. The "Gone Girl" producer could be seen wearing red lipstick. "Wishing y'all a very merry, peaceful, and family-filled Christmas!!! Sincerely, #WreathWitherspoon.. (couldn't resist...@MindyKaling )," she captioned it.
Mindy responded to Reese later on the day by reposting the "Wreath Witherspoon" photo. She also praised the "Wild" actress on Twitter, "@RWitherspoon you win Christmas, Queen Ree!"
Earlier this month in the annual Christmas episode of "The Mindy Project", Mindy's character hanged up a "Wreath Witherspoon" in her boyfriend's apartment door. The wreath, which was made of wooden branches and covered with Reese's picture, later became a social media sensation with fans making their own creations and shared them on Instagram along with tag #WreathWitherspoon.
Mindy shared a photo collage of fans' "Wreath Witherspoon" creations last week. Reese showed her support to Mindy by reposting it along with caption, "The many variations of a #WreathWitherspoon (Regram @MindyKaling).... hahah....Love it!!!"
