AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa recently hinted at a new album when she's photographed hitting the studio with Nile Rodgers and Diane Warren. The Mother Monther has now confirmed that the follow-up to last year's "ARTPOP" is indeed in the works.
GaGa revealed the project and described how it would sound like in an interview with Yahoo! Style. "I want the fans to be surprised, but I will just tell you that it's a wonderful, soul-searching experience," she explained.
She went on saying that the record, which she worked on while on tour, would be different from its predecessor, "It's very unlike the last album in that way. I made that album on the road. 'ARTPOP' was, you know, the acid-making record. And this record is like - my old self as a cadaver. And I'm just, I'm operating on my old self."
"ARTPOP" was released in November 2013. Despite landing directly at No. 1 on Billboard 200, the album has been considered as a flop as it fails to match the sales of GaGa's previous LP, 2011's "Born This Way". The singer recently returned to the chart's top spot with "Cheek to Cheek", her joint jazz album with Tony Bennett.
