John Mayer, Will Arnett, Judd Apatow and More to Guest Host 'Late Late Show'

Drew Carey, Kunal Nayyar, Wayne Brady, Sean Hayes and many others are also billed to fill in as host on the CBS talk show before James Corden makes his debut.

AceShowbiz - CBS has booked a number of well-known celebrities to fill the weeks after Craig Ferguson's departure and before James Corden's debut on "The Late Late Show". They include singer John Mayer, actor Will Arnett and film director/writer Judd Apatow.

"I'm thrilled to guest-host 'The Late Late Show', and quite humbled by the opportunity," Mayer says in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "Music will always be my first love, but I think it's important to explore new and exciting ways to get bashed in the media."

"The Price Is Right" host Drew Carey will also serve as guest host in the first of the nine weeks, January 5-9, and in the final week, March 2-6. Other guest hosts include "The Big Bang Theory" star Kunal Nayyar, "Whose Line Is It Anyway" actor Wayne Brady, stand-up comedians Jim Gaffigan and Billy Gardell, "Will & Grace" alum Sean Hayes and actor/comedian Thomas Lennon.

According to a source, CBS will announce more guest hosts and may include female star(s). The network had reportedly tried to book some female celebrities, but they were unavailable.

The Eye additionally plans a late-night edition of "The Talk" with Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood. It will air during "The Late Late Show" time period January 12-16.

Craig Ferguson will bid farewell to "Late Late Show" in December, while James Corden will debut as the new host on March 9, 2015.
