The country crooner did not feel it right to promote his new album on television 'like nothing was wrong' after the grand jury decided not to charge Darren Wilson over Michael Brown's death.

AceShowbiz - Garth Brooks is in no mood to appear on television after the Ferguson grand jury decided not to prosecute police officer Darren Wilson for the shooting of Michael Brown. The country singer canceled his Thanksgiving appearances on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", "Today" and "Live! with Kelly and Michael".

"We landed in NY last night to the news of the civil unrest that was going on in our nation," the singer posted to his Facebook page. "To spend the day promoting our stuff like nothing was wrong, seemed distasteful to me. I will gladly reschedule any or all appearances the networks will allow. Love one another, g."

Brooks' camp declined to comment on the cancellation. These high-profile appearances were meant to promote his ninth studio album "Man Against Machine" which marks his first new material in 13 years.

Brooks popped up on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday, November 25 but it was pre-taped. A spokesperson for "Live!" confirmed that Brooks pulled out of his Tuesday appearance but no reschedule has been made.
