AceShowbiz - Debuting at number one on Billboard Hot 200, One Direction's "FOUR" scored a history for its artist. The U.K. pop quintet become the first band to have all four of their releases on the top of the chart on the first week of sale.

"FOUR", which was released on November 17, sold 387,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan data ending November 23. The album dethroned Taylor Swift's "1989" which scored its own record by selling 1.287 million units last month and became 2014's second-biggest selling album after the soundtrack of "Frozen (2013)".

As an overall act, One Direction is only one of the six acts to have reached No. 1 with their first four studio releases. The others being Beyonce Knowles, Britney Spears, DMX, The Kingston Trio and The Monkees.

Swift's latest album settles in at the second place after slipping 32|percent| to 214,000 copies. It has passed the 2 million mark, scoring a total of 2.21 million units. At the third place is Pentatonix with their Christmas album that pulled in 99,000 copies this week. Nickelback's "No Fixed Address" bows at No. 4 with 80,000 copies sold, followed by Garth Brooks' "Man Against Machine" at the fifth place with 62,000 copies.
