The former Nickelodeon star shares a photo of Midler in a sexy outfit and says she's still a fan of the veteran singer despite the harsh comments.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande has responded to the comments made by Bette Midler about her. As previously reported, the veteran singer called the former Nickelodeon star's vocals "silly" and said that she used sex to sell her records.

Grande, however, doesn't seem to harbor any bad feeling against Midler. On Tuesday, November 25, the 21-year-old singer took to Twitter to share a photo of Midler in a skin-baring mermaid outfit and wrote, "Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement!"

"Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!!! Always a fan no matter what my love," she added. In a follow-up tweet, she added, "And I will still quote 'First Wives Club' every single day of my life lmao."

Midler dissed Grande as she shared her opinion on today's music industry in an interview with U.K.'s The Telegraph. "It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, slithering around on a couch, looking so ridiculous," she said. "I mean, it's silly beyond belief and I don't know who's telling her to do it. I wish they'd stop. But it's not my business, I'm not her mother. Or her manager."

In the interview, Midler also shared some advice for aspiring singers. "Trust your talent. You don't have to make a whore out of yourself to get ahead. You really don't," she continued.
