Christoph Waltz to Play Nefarious Blofeld in 'Bond 24'
Movie

Rumor has it, James Bond's most feared nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld will be changed 'to fit in with the new-look 007.'

AceShowbiz - The villainous character that Christoph Waltz is going to play in the next James Bond installment may have been revealed. According to The Daily Mail, the "Django Unchained" actor is expected to portray Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the upcoming "Bond 24".

The character is allegedly named Franz Oberhauser. He is described as the son of the late Hans Oberhauser, a ski instructor who acted as a father figure to Bond. "Christoph Waltz is playing Blofeld in the next Bond film," an insider dishes on. "The tone of the 007 films has changed significantly in recent years and the producers have changed the character to fit in with the new-look 007."

It's been more than 30 years since James Bond faced off Blofeld in a film. The doors are open for the SPECTRE leader to fight the 007 agent again on the big screen after producers reached settlement with Kevin McClory's estate who owned the names to the fearsome character and his evil organization. A longtime dispute had previously prevented the villain from appearing in the recent Bond films.

Blofeld often showed up with his white cat. He was played by different actors like Donald Pleasence, Telly Savalas and Charles Gray in the previous movies. He hasn't been seen on screen since 1981's "For Your Eyes Only", but did appear in an "unofficial" Bond film "Never Say Never Again" with Max von Sydow taking on the role.

Daniel Craig is back for the fourth time as the 007 spy agent in the upcoming film. Ralph Fiennes will reprise his role as James Bond's new boss after Judi Dench's M met her demise in the last movie "Skyfall". Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny) and Ben Whishaw (Q) are also expected to return for the sequel due November 6, 2015.
