AceShowbiz - Although the release date is more than a year away, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is ready to unleash its first teaser trailer this weekend. Thirty cinemas across North America will have the privilege of playing the highly-anticipated footage beginning this Friday, November 28.
Director J.J. Abrams confirmed the plan by posting a picture of his handwritten announcement on Bad Robot Productions' Twitter account. He wished fans happy Thanksgiving and informed them that the teaser would be 88 seconds long.

Lucasfilm, which produces the movie, said that the teaser would hit the rest of the world after this weekend. Two descriptions of the teaser leaked last week, slightly different in their versions. However, both mentioned that there would be appearances of Daisy Ridley and Millenium Falcon.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will open theatrically in the United States on December 18, 2015.
