Bill Cosby Biographer Admits He 'Was Wrong' to Omit Sexual Abuse Accusations

Author Mark Whitaker has commented on Twitter after sexual abuse claims against Cosby keep growing in numbers, writing, 'If true the stories are shocking and horrible.'

AceShowbiz - The fact that Bill Cosby was accused of sexual abuse a few years ago and it was not mentioned in his biography, written by Mark Whitaker, caused some buzz since its release in September. On Monday, November 24, The New York Times' David Carr said in his piece that Whitaker should have investigated into the claims when he wrote "Cosby: His Life and Times".

Whitaker admitted his mistake on the same day. Replying Carr's tweet of the article, he wrote, "David you are right. I was wrong to not deal with the sexual assault charges against Cosby and pursue them more aggressively. I am following new developments and will address them at the appropriate time. If true the stories are shocking and horrible."

Many women who claimed that they were sexually abused by Cosby came forward with their stories recently. On early Monday, TMZ said one of the accusers, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" star Louisa Moritz, was planning on filing a class-action lawsuit and gathering support from nine other women.

Moritz, however, denied the story. "There's probably nothing I could do from a legal standpoint that could help me, but there's possibly something that can be done. Maybe one of the other girls, I could help them with whatever they do," Moritz told NY Daily News.

She also said that she wanted Cosby to apologize. "I want him to write each of us a letter and admit what he's done," she shared. "He could explain that he's had a problem all his life and finally wants to change something. That would be a good start. He must apologize. He has not accepted one single thing."
