FOX Sets Midseason Premiere Dates for 'Glee' Final Season, 'The Following' and More

'Glee', which is moved to Fridays, will kick off the swan song on January 9, while Will Forte's new comedy 'The Last Man on Earth' and 'Following' season 3 will debut in March.

AceShowbiz - FOX has announced premiere dates for its midseason schedule, revealing the return dates of "Glee", "The Following" and "Bones" among others. The musical comedy series is moved to Fridays in its final season, which will kick off January 9 with a two-hour season opener at 8 P.M. It will begin airing in its regular Friday, 9 P.M. slot on January 16.

Also returning in the first month of 2015 is "MasterChef Junior", which will air its third season starting Tuesday, January 6 at 8 P.M. New crime procedural "Backstrom" starring Rainn Wilson will debut Thursday, January 22 at 9 P.M.

Other shows are saved for March, including Will Forte's freshman comedy "The Last Man on Earth" which will launch Sunday, March 1 at 9 P.M., and the third season of "The Following" which will debut Monday, March 2 at 8 P.M. with a special two-hour installment.

"Hell's Kitchen" follows the next day at 8 P.M., while "Bones" will return with the remainders of season 10 beginning Thursday, March 26 at 8 P.M.

The network has previously set premiere dates for "American Idol" season 14 and new series "Empire". The reality series will kick off the competition Wednesday, January 7 at 8 P.M., while the rookie drama will follow immediately at 9 P.M.
