The former 'Saturday Night Live' star's lawyer gives an update on the comedian's health, saying that Morgan is 'trying to get better, and he's just not better.'

AceShowbiz - Tracy Morgan hasn't fully recovered from injuries he suffered from a crash involving a Wal-Mart truck back in June. Morgan's lawyer Benedict Morelli gave an update on the actor's condition on Tuesday, November 18, saying that the former "Saturday Night Live" star suffered from a traumatic brain injury and was still trying to recover from it.

"He's fighting to get better, and if there's a chance for him to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he's going to try to do that," Morelli told The Associated Press. "But we just don't know because of the severity of the injuries that he sustained and the fact that he had such a severe brain injury."

"When you have a traumatic brain injury it takes a very long time to find out how you're going to do and how much you're going to recover. You just don't know. So that's where he is. He's still fighting and trying to live his life at the same time and trying to get better, and he's just not better. We're hoping and praying to get him back to where he was. But the jury's out," he added.

Following the crash which took place on the New Jersey Turnpike on June 7, Morgan was hospitalized and later checked into physical rehabilitation center for several weeks. The crash injured some other passengers and killed his friend, comedian James McNair.

Morgan filed a lawsuit against the retailer, accusing the company of negligence. His legal team and Wal-Mart's met a judge in federal court in Trenton, New Jersey, on Tuesday to discuss the scheduling for the suit.
