AceShowbiz - Jimmy Fallon found a way to keep U2's fans entertained after the band delayed their week-long residency on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". During the Monday, November 17 episode of the late-night show, the host transformed himself into frontman Bono and covered a song from the Irish group's catalog.

"Bono's wardrobe is here since he was going to wear it tonight. Obviously he's not going to need it now. I thought, let's have some fun with it," Fallon said while donning shades, Bono's signature cap and a jacket prior to the performance.

Bringing along his guitar, he then joined The Roots on the stage to play "Desire" from U2's 1988 album "Rattle and Hum". The funnyman did his best impersonating Bono. He even imitated the rocker's vocals and played the harmonica towards the end of the song.

U2 was supposed to promote their newest album, "Songs of Innocence", with their "Tonight Show" residency. "It looks like we will have to do our Tonight Show residency another time - we're one man down," the band announced the delay in a statement posted on their website a few days ago.

"Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it. We're sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we'll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding," they added.
