The tour, which includes a two-night concert at Boston's Fenway Park, is launched to support the band's 'Sonic Highways' album that came out last week.

AceShowbiz - Foo Fighters is hitting the highways next year. The band announced on Tuesday, November 18 that they'd embark on a massive North American tour in support of their newly-released album "Sonic Highways".

The Foos are kicking off the jaunt with an Independence Day concert at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. They'll play two-night show at Boston's Fenway Park on July 18 and 19 before making stops in other cities including Denver, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Nashville. The group is closing out the tour in Memphis on October 7.

To prevent scalping, tickets will go on sale this Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at box offices only (except for the Fenway Park shows) in a sales event the band is calling "Beat the Bots". "Fans sick of Scalper-BOTS programmed to clog online queues and snatch up huge amounts of tickets to resell them will get first shot at tickets to these shows," they explained in a press release.

Tickets will be available in an online pre-sale on December 1 and later go on sale to the public on December 4 and 5. British hard rock duo Royal Blood and Boston punk band Mission of Burma are joining Dave Grohl and Co. on several dates.
