AceShowbiz - "Penguins of Madagascar" took over New York City on Sunday, November 16 for its premiere. Taking place at Winter Village at Bryant Park Ice Rink, the event was attended by the voice cast, including Benedict Cumberbatch, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong and Christopher Knights.

The newly engaged Cumberbatch, who just won the acting trophy for "The Imitation Game" at Hollywood Film Awards, looked sharp in a navy blue suit. He posed with co-star Malkovich on the black carpet. They also took a group photo with Jeong as well as the film's directors Simon J. Smith and Eric Darnell.

Jeong, who ditched a tie for a semi-formal look, lightened up the mood as he's goofing around with celebrity guest Brooke Shields. The funnyman also planted a kiss on the giant penguin, who looked shy as it covered its eyes.

"John and Benedict just didn't do voice recordings for this film," Darnell said of how Malkovich and Cumberbatch did their parts in the animated pic. "They act out the scene; they're very theater-based in that way."

The special screening turned into a family affair as many guests took their little kids to the event. They later hit the skating rink after the premiere. Debra Messing, who brought along her 10-year-old son Roman, tweeted after the event, "3 SNOW BUNNIES Ice skating after #PenguinsofMadagascar premiere! #BryantPark @AliEWentworth @Mariska."

Mariska Hargitay, Debi Mazar, Alexandra Wentworth and Pitbull, whose song "Celebrate" is featured in the DreamWorks Animation film, were also among guests at the premiere.

"Penguins of Madagascar" follows Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private who join forces with the chic spy organization, the North Wind, led by Agent Classified to stop the villainous Dr. Octavius Brine from taking over the world. It will open in U.S. theaters November 26.
