AceShowbiz - J. Cole indeed has a new album coming out in December. The rapper confirmed the record in Twitter posts he sent out on Sunday night, November 16, hours after Amazon leaked the title and release date in a pre-order page.
"What up? My New Album is finished," Cole said. "It's called '2014 Forest Hills Drive' and it's very special to me. It's available everywhere on 12/9. This time I'm releasing no singles, just the album. See you in 3 weeks. Thank you for the love and support."
Cole also attached a link to a 7-minute trailer showing him giving viewers a tour to his high school, a local restaurant and other places.
The album is titled after the address of Cole's childhood home in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He recently purchased the house for $121,000 and later invited his new neighbors to a listening session on November 29 and 30.
"2014 Forest Hills Drive" serves as the follow-up to last year's "Born Sinner". The forthcoming project will have 13 tracks, according to iTunes. The title of those tracks have yet to be revealed.
