The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will make a visit to the September 11 memorial in New York City during their short trip to the U.S. between December 7 and 9.

AceShowbiz - Prince William and Kate Middleton would make a short visit to the U.S. between December 7 and 9, Kensington Palace announced on Friday, November 14. The palace stated that the royal couple would travel to New York to attend events on behalf of the Royal Foundation and other charities, as well as on behalf of HM Government.

During their visit, William will also go to Washington D.C. to attend an anti-corruption conference at the World Bank while Kate will stay in New York. Kate will carry out two engagements and will be accompanied by the wife of New York's mayor, Chirlane McCray, on a visit to a local child development center.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will also visit the National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center and attend an NBA basketball game to promote a new collaboration between the NBA, the Royal Foundation and United for Wildlife.

William and Kate's final engagement of the visit will be the 600th Anniversary Dinner of the University of St. Andrews at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This is the first time for William and Kate to visit New York and Washington D.C. The royal couple's last visit to the U.S. was to California in 2011.
