Jude Law May Reunite With Guy Ritchie in King Arthur Film
Movie

The actor is in talks to play the villain in 'Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur', the first movie in planned series.

AceShowbiz - Jude Law and Guy Ritchie, who worked together in "Sherlock Holmes" and its sequel, may reunite in a new flick. The actor is in talks to join the director's King Arthur film, "Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur", as the villain.

Charlie Hunnam has signed up as Arthur while Astrid Berges-Frisbey is set to play Guinevere. Ritchie is directing from a script written by Joby Harold. The July 22, 2016 film is expected to be the first in a series. Warner Bros. is planning to tell the story over six installments but it's unclear whether Law's character will only appear in one movie or throughout the franchise.

Plot is still under wraps but it's a re-imagining of the legend of Arthur, believed to have been a 6th century king who defended Britain against Saxon invaders. Key source material will be Thomas Mallory's "Le Morte d'Arthur," published in 1485 as a compilation of French and English tales.

Idris Elba previously was in talks to play the right-hand man to Arthur's father but could not reach a deal. Ritchie is now looking for other actors to fill the part before the pic goes into production.
