The former 'Ripley's Believe It or Not!' host says of his former girlfriend, 'Brooke was a very big part of my life, and I'm honored to have been a part of her life.'

AceShowbiz - Dean Cain has responded to his ex-girlfriend Brooke Shields' confession about losing her virginity to him in her new memoir "There Was a Little Girl". Dean told FOX411, "Brooke was a very big part of my life, and I'm honored to have been a part of her life."

When asked if he minds if Brooke shares the intimate details of their sex life in her book, the "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" actor replied, "If she chooses to write about it, that's fine with me."

Brooke opened up about her relationship with Dean, whom she met when they were attending Princeton University, in an excerpt published on PEOPLE on November 11. "[Dean] was incredibly and painfully patient with me regarding sex," she wrote, "I made him wait and wait and my mom kept track."

After they had sex, Brooke was feeling overwhelmed and jumped out of their bed. "I actually kind of tumbled off it and started running," she recalled, "I was buck naked streaking down the hallway and running like I had just stolen someone's wallet."

In a new excerpt published by PEOPLE on Thursday, November 13, Brooke opened up about how her former husband Andre Agassi told her he was a meth addict. "He explained to me that for the first whole part of our relationship, he had been addicted to crystal meth," she wrote.

"I was the one who had supported him unconditionally when he told me that he was basically bald and had been wearing hairpieces most of his adult life," the "Suddenly Susan" alum added, "Why should this have been any different?"

Brooke, whose mother was an alcoholic, said she wondered why Andre didn't tell her earlier. At that time, she suggested that they should get couple counseling but Andre refused it. Soon after that, they filed for divorce.

Brooke revealed Andre once stormed off the "Friends" set when she did a guest turn. Despite all the drama, she credited Andre as the person who helped her free from her mother. "He gave me my first taste of freedom from my mom," she wrote, "He swept me away. You'd say something and it would happen. There would be a plane or if I said 'I can't believe I have termites,' within 24 hours, the house would be tented."

"He is a devoted person, sweet and good but he had this demon, this affliction. But the other side, and what makes this so hard, is the way he welcomed me and my mother and anybody I loved. He is a really good human being," she continued.
