The Katniss Everdeen depicter sings with Letterman although she hates singing in front of people and takes Letterman's seat to introduce 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' clip.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence stopped by "Late Show with David Letterman" on Wednesday, November 12 to promote her new movie, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1", but they ended up talking a lot of things from her experience of being haunted to her medical history. She also opened up about how much she hated singing in front of people.

"I do not like singing in front of other people. It's like my biggest fear," the Oscar-winning actress said. "I cried on set that day and apparently I'm crying all the time. That was awful," she recalled the day she filmed the scene in "Mockingjay" where her character Katniss Everdeen sings.

"I'm like scarred from my childhood because I have a southern mother who would just tell me that I was amazing at everything, that I could do everything. But, I can't," she began recalling the time she sang in front of her school at age 8. Though insisting that she's a bad singer, Lawrence nevertheless sang the Christmas song she performed at school.

When asked if she took a time off after completing "The Hunger Games" movies, she said, "I took some time off. I lost my mind. It was awful. I don't even know how crazy I went." David Letterman then shared his worry about what would happen once he retires. "Don't do it! Just keep doing this until you die and I'm going to do it too... And we need you," the "American Hustle" star tried to convince the veteran host.

Lawrence admitted that she tried to avoid talking about her movie because she had done it the whole week, but she had to introduce a clip from the movie. When the crew couldn't find the video, Lawrence and Letterman left the set. After returning from a commercial break, she sat behind Letterman's desk to introduce the "Mockingjay, Part 1" clip.
