AceShowbiz - Many celebrities took to social media on Veterans Day to thank military veterans for their service. Some of the stars who paid tribute to the veterans on Twitter and Instagram on Tuesday, November 11 are Chris Evans, Rihanna, Lady GaGa and Nicki Minaj.
The Captain America depicter left a message which read, "Feeling an enormous amount of pride and gratitude for the real heroes of this country. Thank you for your bravery. #verteransday." RiRi, meanwhile, posted a photo of her giving seductive look, writing, "We salute you... Today and EVERYDAY!!! Thanking you #HappyVeteransDay."
"Let's remember the men & women who served in the Armed Forces, especially those coming home from war who need jobs & housing. #VeteransDay," Susan Sarandon added. Kerry Washington took part in the tribute, tweeting, "To all those who've served. We honor you. Especially today. #VeteransDay."
"Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" creator Shonda Rhimes sent out a post which read, "On this day, honoring the sacrifice of so many brave men and women who have given and continue to give to serve our country. #VeteransDay." Justin Timberlake tweeted, "Today, we remember those who have fought so courageously for our freedom... Land of the free BECAUSE of the brave. #VeteransDay."
Other celebrities and public figures who expressed their thankfulness to the veterans were Colton Haynes, whose sister is in the Air Force, John Legend, Channing Tatum, Bill Clinton, Ellen DeGeneres, Josh Groban and Rachel Zoe.
In other news, numerous fans packed the National Mall in Washington, D.C. for The Concert for Valor, a tribute concert honoring veterans, on Tuesday. Featuring performances from Rihanna, Eminem, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson and Carrie Underwood among others, the free concert was held by HBO, Starbucks and Chase Corp.
