The family matriarch shares more details of 'The Osbournes' return on 'The Talk', saying that it will only be six to eight episodes and offer an update on their family.

AceShowbiz - When "The Osbournes" returns to the small screen, it may not be for a long time. Sharon Osbourne who previously revealed plan to revive the reality series has shared more details of the show's possible return.

"It's not as much coming back as a proper series (but) as an update," she said on "The Talk" Tuesday, November 11. "At most there'll be only six to eight episodes and it's a catch-up on our lives and where we are now cause it's been so long as we've been seen as a family and our family has grown. We have a granddaughter, a gorgeous daughter-in-law."

Sharon said it was her husband Ozzy Osbourne's idea to bring back the reality show. "It was all my husband's doing. He looked back on his life and he said, 'I wish we could have done 'The Osbournes' now where I'm clean and sober,' " she explained.

Despite the family's eagerness to revisit the the show, MTV has said that it has no involvement in the project. A spokesman for network said, "There are no plans for the series to return to MTV."

"The Osbournes", also starring Ozzy and Sharon's kids Kelly Osbourne and Jack Osbourne, aired for 4 seasons from 2002 to 2005 on MTV.
