Grande will join the likes of Lady GaGa and Nicki Minaj as a recipient of Billboard's Rising Star award, while Menzel will accept the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award.

AceShowbiz - Billboard is honoring Ariana Grande and Idina Menzel at the 2014 Billboard Women in Music Awards. The two singers will join Taylor Swift, who's been named Billboard's Woman of the Year for the second time, and many other recipients at the ceremony scheduled for December 12 in New York City.
Grande will receive the 2014 Billboard Rising Star award, an honor previously given to Lady GaGa, Nicki Minaj and Janelle Monae. "To be recognized alongside some of the most influential women in the music business is such an incredible honor. Receiving the 'Rising Star' award is truly amazing and I'm extremely grateful!" the former Nickelodeon star commented on her new achievement.
Menzel, meanwhile, will accept the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award. "I'm so honored to receive the Breakthrough Artist Award from Billboard. This has definitely been an amazing breakthrough year and I'm thrilled and humbled by it all, including this wonderful award," said the Broadway star and Tony award winner who hit Billboard Hot 100's top 10 earlier this year with "Let It Go".
Janice Min, an executive at Guggenheim Media which heads Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter, credits Grande's "indelible mark as a young artist," and Menzel's influence on the charts over the decades for their respective honor.
The recipients of the Billboard Icon Awards and Country Artist of the Year will be announced in coming weeks.
