The media personality says that sometimes he feels extreme pain that 'my hands or feet or arms and legs would feel like someone had crushed them or set them on fire.'

AceShowbiz - Glenn Beck opens up about his battle with a rare neurological disorder which he has been facing for a few years. Beck emotionally talked about his illness on "The Blaze" on Monday, November 10, saying that he was in so much pain and suffered from other symptoms, but no expert could provide solutions for the issue.

According to Beck, he started having vocal cord paralysis, vision problems, sleep issues, seizures and pain in his limbs five years ago. "My hands or feet or arms and legs would feel like someone had crushed them or set them on fire or pushed broken glass into my feet," he said of the massive pain he experienced during his time at Fox.

He only had two to four hours of sleep at night and doctor said he hadn't had a real REM sleep in close to a decade. However, he did not feel tired. Beck also could not remember conversations, names or faces.

A doctor gave him a test for patients with traumatic brain injury and Beck placed in the bottom 10|percent|. According to the doctor, he would no longer function normally in five to ten years.

Beck consulted numerous experts, but no one could help him until recently, when the Carrick Brain Centers in Texas told him what happened to his body. "We went, and after a few short visits they found that I had several things going on - from an autoimmune disorder to adrenal fatigue, and they found the connection on everything that was going on," he said.

Beck has been receiving treatment for the last ten months and now he feels much better. "After months of treatment and completely changing the way I eat, sleep, work and live, along with ongoing hormone treatment and intensive physical therapy, I have reversed the process. Some of the physical scars will be with me for the rest of my life ... but my brain is back online in a big way," he shared.
