The 'Criminal Minds' alum will play a consultant hired by the school, while 'The Thing' actor will portray a retired scientist.

AceShowbiz - Two actors enroll in "Community" for its sixth season. Paget Brewster and Keith David are joining the Greendale gang in the upcoming installment of the show, which is revived by Yahoo, in regular roles.

Brewster, best known for her roles as Kathy on "Friends" and Emily Prentiss on "Criminal Minds", is cast as Francesca "Frankie" Dart, a consultant hired to help shape things up at the underachieving school, TV Guide reports. She has appeared as different characters on the cult comedy, including as IT department staffer Debra Chambers in a season 5 episode.

David, whose credits include "Crash", "The Thing " and the short-lived FOX comedy "Enlisted", will portray Elroy Patashnik, a retired scientist who comes to Greendale to reinvent himself. The 58-year-old actor previously narrated the faux documentary in season 3's episode "Pillows and Blankets".

Brewster and David's hirings will fill the void left by two original members Donald Glover, who departed the show in mid-season 5, and Yvette Nicole Brown, who exited the series after five seasons to care for her ailing father.

The new and sixth season of "Community" will begin filming on November 17 for a 2015 premiere on Yahoo! Screen. Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash are among the returning stars.
