She wrote, "Happy birthday baby boy! In only a short amount of time we have created timeless memories. Happy birthday to a man who genuinely lives life to its fullest. 'What's understood doesn't need to be explained.' @frenchmontana I can't wait to celebrate life with you tonight! You deserve it!!"
The "Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons" star apparently received backlash after posting the message. She later spoke out on Twitter. "I guess some people don't have genuine love for people anymore. Blows my mind how critical human beings are these days. Love is love!" she wrote, before adding, "Some of yall need a hug!"
Khloe and French split in September after eight months of dating. Since splitting, they have remained quite close. Last week, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star told E! Online about her relationship with French, saying, "We're hanging out."
"I don't think there's a title or anything... I don't know what to say any more, because people go up and down in relationships. Sometimes you're there and sometimes you're not," she added.
French, meanwhile, told Us Weekly in October, "Our relationship - you break up you make up, you break up you make up. We went through that a couple times. You never know."
