NBC Develops Live Staging of 'A Few Good Men'

Aaron Sorkin is in negotiations to oversee the live staging of his hit Broadway play for NBC to follow 'The Sound of Music' and 'Peter Pan'.

AceShowbiz - "A Few Good Men" is getting revival. According to Variety, the TV network has entered early stages of negotiation with Aaron Sorkin to adapt his classic Broadway play for the small screen. The writer is reportedly eyed to shepherd the project.

The play was turned into a feature film starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, and Demi Moore in 1992 after hitting Broadway in 1989. It revolves around a court case against two Marines who are accused of killing another soldier.

Directed by Rob Reiner, the big-screen adaptation was nominated for four Oscars at the Academy Awards, including best picture and supporting actor for Nicholson.

The "Few Good Men" live staging will follow NBC's "The Sound of Music Live!" last year and "Peter Pan Live!" which is due December 4.
